A foundational bushcraft and survival course, designed to introduce you to the essential skills of bushcraft and survival, based on the four main principles: fire, shelter, water and food.
You will have hands on practical sessions on:
- Building your own shelter using only natural materials;
- How to collect and purify water, which is vital for survival in keeping oneself hydrated, and how to make it safe to drink;
- Tree identification;
- Several techniques to establishing a fire using natural materials with various ignition sources and tinders;
- Manage an open fire safely, and most importantly to 'leave no trace' (LNT) of your fire ever having been there;
- Cooking on an open fire;
- You will be taught how to use a bushcraft knife safely and efficiently.
Location: Private Woodland outside Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Course Time: 10AM - 4PM
Course Duration: 1 Day
